DayZ classnames: every item by category
Every DayZ item classname by category: weapons, clothing, food, vehicles and more, where server admins use them and how to copy them without typos.

Where admins use classnames
- The economy files of the mission: types.xml in DayZ: every field explained, cfgspawnabletypes.xml in DayZ: attachments, cargo and damage and events.xml in DayZ: vehicles, crashes and animals.
- Starting gear in
init.c:player.GetInventory().CreateInInventory("BandageDressing"); - Spawn menus of admin tools and trader configs of mods.
Colors and variants
Each color of an item is a separate classname: the T-shirt, for example, comes in nine. Their numbers in types.xml are set for each classname on its own, so turning off one color does not touch the others. In the item database variants share one page with a table of all their classnames, for example .
Classnames of mod items
Mods add their own classnames in the mod's config. They are usually listed on the mod's Workshop page or in its documentation, and admin tools show them in their spawn menus. the item database covers the vanilla game.
Copy, do not type
One wrong letter and the item never spawns, while the server keeps running as if nothing happened. Copy classnames from the item pages instead of typing them.
